The “UNU-EGOV Induction Day”, which will take place on Tuesday, 16 January 2018, from 09:00 to 15:30, is an open event mostly aimed at the Operating Unit Fellows and personnel from universities and municipalities who deal in the area of EGOV, either professionally, academically, or both.

The induction will be delivered by Luís Soares Barbosa, Morten Meyerhoff Nielsen, and João Álvaro Carvalho, and will cover the following subjects:

• the context of the UN, UNU, and UNU-EGOV;
• EGOV as a key area to Sustainable Development;
• Facets of EGOV addressing professional activities;
• Research approaches and methods related to EGOV;
