Diogo Ruão presently serves as a Communication Consultant at UNU-EGOV, having joined the institution in August 2023.
In this role, he oversees the coordination of both the web and social media presence of the Operating Unit, as well as the content creation for these platforms.

Diogo’s tasks encompass editing, proofreading, and aiding in the composition of briefings, reports, academic papers, and various other documents. Additionally, he facilitates translations between English and Portuguese. The organization of Capacity Building events fall under his responsibility, and he acts as the focal point between the Office of Communications in Tokyo and UNU-EGOV. The management of Internal Communication is among his key assignments as a Communications Consultant.

Diogo’s academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Minho (Portugal, 2019) and a subsequent Post-graduation in Communication Science with a focus on Public Relations and Advertising, also at the same university (2020). During an Erasmus study period in Germany, he developed a keen interest in the German language and volunteered as a Human Resources Officer at U.DREAM, Portugal.

Prior to his role at UNU-EGOV, Diogo accumulated experience at Greenvolt within their Internal Communication department (Lisbon, Portugal). His professional history also boasts an extensive background in Marketing.
