    ICEGOV

The ICEGOV series was established in 2007 by the Center for Electronic Governance at the United Nations University International Institute for Software Technology (UNU-IIST-EGOV), located in Macau, China, to bring together practitioners, developers and researchers from government, academia, industry and international organizations to share and advance the theory, policy and practice of Electronic Governance. So far, ICEGOV organized 8 editions in Macau (2007), Cairo (2008), Bogotá (2009), Beijing (2010), Tallinn (2011), Albany (2012), Seoul (2013) and Guimarães (2014), followed by the forthcoming edition in Montevideo (2015-16), becoming one of the most significant EGOV research and policy events in the world. From 2014, ICEGOV is coordinated by the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV), a successor to UNU-IIST-EGOV located in Guimarães, Portugal.
