So far, ICEGOV organized 8 editions in Macau (2007), Cairo (2008), Bogotá (2009), Beijing (2010), Tallinn (2011), Albany (2012), Seoul (2013) and Guimarães (2014), followed by the forthcoming edition in Montevideo (2015-16), becoming one of the most significant EGOV research and policy events in the world. From 2014, ICEGOV is coordinated by the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV), a successor to UNU-IIST-EGOV located in Guimarães, Portugal.
