Visit of the Ambassador of Japan to UNU-EGOV

    Hiroshi Azuma, the Ambassador of Japan to Portugal visited UNU-EGOV on 10 December 2014.

    The Ambassador was received by Elsa Estevez, Senior Academic Programme Officer at UNU-EGOV, who showed him around the premises, described the installation and programmatic activities of the Operating Unit, and answered questions particularly about collaboration between UNU-EGOV and Japan institutions and researchers, such as Waseda University and its e-Government Survey, and the contribution of the Japanese researchers to the ICEGOV conference series coordinated by UNU-EGOV.

    The meeting took place as part of the Ambassador’s visit to the Guimarães Municipality. He was accompanied by Ricardo Costa, Member of the Municipal Council of Guimarães, and by Paulo Ramísio, Pro-Rector of the University of Minho.
