    The United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV) is hiring a Human Resources Associate to join its administrative team in Guimarães, Portugal.

    Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Head of Administration, the HR Associate is accountable for service provision, transactions and advice to UNU-EGOV Personnel on the full HR life cycle administration. The incumbent interprets and applies the policies, procedures and guidelines, establishes internal procedures, provides solutions to a wide spectrum of complex HR administrative issues, and where necessary ensure full compliance with the UN Staff Rules and Regulations. The HR Associate also works in close collaboration with UNU Human Resources Office (HR-KL) for resolving complex HR-related issues and information exchange.

    The duration of the initial contract is one (1) year. This is a Personnel Service Agreement (PSA) contract with UNU-EGOV, with the possibility for renewal subject to requirements and satisfactory work performance. The combined duration on a PSA contract with UNU may not exceed six (6) years. The mandatory age of retirement for a PSA is 65 years.
